The average transaction price of a new Tesla has increased by more than 5% since the Cybertruck arrived. It is estimated by Kelley Blue Book that 3,200 Cybertrucks were sold in June.

Official sales numbers for the electric pickup for this year have not been disclosed by Tesla.

Tesla’s Average Transaction Price Increased Due to Cybertruck

To say that EV fanatics went crazy over the Tesla Cybertruck wouldn’t be an exaggeration. Cybertrucks briefly became the newest car that social media influencers and celebrities had to have, and they were being sold for more than twice the MSRP during that time. It appears that demand hasn’t decreased.

Recent sales data shows that there is a high demand for the Cybertruck. Over 3,200 units were sold in June alone, according to Kelley Blue Book projections based on recent statistics. Due to this performance, the electric truck is the best-selling new car over $100,000 for the month, with an average transaction price (ATP) of $112,696 for each Cybertruck.

According to Cox Automotive’s data, the Cybertruck caused a considerable increase in the average transaction price of new Tesla models, which went from $56,809 in May to $58,399 in June. This represents a 5.7% increase over the previous year and a 2.8% increase.

The fact that new Teslas have had the highest average transaction costs over the past year compared to all other brands makes this perhaps even more intriguing.

Average Cost of New EVs Remained Flat Compared to May 2024

Other than Tesla, Chrysler had the largest rise in ATP from June 2023, rising by 5.5%. Other brands that have seen significant increases include Mazda, which has increased by 3.8%, Lexus, which has increased by 4%, and Porsche, which has increased by 5%.

The average cost of purchasing an EV in June was $56,371, which represented a 2.5% drop from June 2023 but a 0.9% increase from May. Regardless of engine type, the June ATP for all new cars sold in the United States was $48,644.
